ACR Today - May 2012 - Climalife launches new comparator

ACR Today's May edition documents the launching of Climalife's updated comparator, which lists all most commonly used refrigerants on the market.

This pressure/temperature relationship comparator enables temperatures to be checked at saturation, including liquid and vapour states for non-azeotropic fluids and in relation to the pressures taken in an installation. Its new format which includes the addition of colour coding makes this an even more useful tool for our industry's professionals.

ACR Today - April 2012 - Super U adopts Performax LT for its refrigeration system

April's edition of ACR Today features an interesting case study which looks at French supermarket Super U and their use of Performax LT in a new store built near Perigueux.

Super U, keen to lead the way in more environmentally-friendly supermarkets, chose Performax LT due to its lower GWP figure and also its ability to lower energy consumption.

ACR Today's February edition reported the appointment of Laura Haim as Marketing Co-ordinator for Climalife's UK office based in Avonmouth, Bristol.

Laura previously worked in a marketing role within the manufacturing industry, and joins Climalife to begin a new role in co-ordinating the company's marketing activity and new product launches.

HCFC production phase-out

With the phase out of HCFC's such as R22, R408A and R409A now a reality, IDS had a number of articles published in trade magazines warning of the phase out. Many are still surprised to be told that stockpiled virgin product cannot now be used.

Contractors who still look after R22 systems need to be taking steps now to ensure that their customers do not suffer from interrupted supply, end users who have any amount of R22 systems need to put programs into place to ensure the same.
